OpenFORUM: Reading »You can forget all about it – A dementia report«
Musical reading and panel discussion with André Kudernatsch

André Kudernatsch is actually a satirist who writes funny stories. But now he’s losing his sense of humor—almost. He wants to take care of his father, who has dementia, for four weeks, even though he has no idea how to do it. He immediately finds himself in an endless loop of sitting around, searching around, and arguing around. He constantly hears that he used to be a fool, is now a jerk, and will definitely be a good cook. One moment his father gives him 100 points, the next he accuses him: “You ruined my life.”

Kudernatsch is overwhelmed. His mother, who could help sort things out, is far away. She coughs at him – literally. So he takes matters into his own hands and writes everything down. The result is a book about love, helplessness, the end of childhood, and dealing with illness. At the reading, Kudernatsch is accompanied on the piano by Andreas Groß. Groß plays his own compositions, inspired by the book.

The reading will be followed by a panel discussion in collaboration with the Memory Clinic at Jena University Hospital. The event is part of “Dementia Week” and is presented by “MitmachFORUM Jena – New Public Health,” a collaboration between Friedrich Schiller University and the City of Jena.

OpenFORUM: Electronic patient file (ePA) for everyone – everything clarified?!

For some time now, the electronic patient file (ePA) has been officially available to all those with legal|according to law|statutory health insurance. Citizens can decide for themselves whether they want to use an ePA or appeal|to object. They can also decide which of their health data should be accessible to doctors. From autumn 2025, doctors will also have to fill in the electronic patient file. After a long period of preparation, this will digitise and simplify the exchange of data between practices and clinical departments.

Share your experiences and questions about the new electronic patient file (ePA)

Nevertheless, many questions remain unanswered. Under the motto: “ePA for everyone – everything clarified?!”, the MitmachFORUM Jena is presenting an interactive and open information event for all interested citizens on 10 September 2025. This will be followed by a moderated panel discussion and you will also have the opportunity to test new digital healthcare solutions directly on site.
