Salon 2035 – Jena Discusses the Future
Three evenings, three exciting topics, a time horizon of 2035: Jena looks to the future together. The pop-up salons on Wagnergasse invite the academic community and the general public to engage in genuine conversations about highly relevant topics and scenarios—open, informal, and on equal footing. Short presentations, lively discussion, cold drinks. Come by and join the conversation!
Pop-Up Salon #2: Between Emancipation and Control – The Future of Freedom
Freedom is constantly being negotiated—in parliaments, on the streets, but increasingly also in algorithms. From major social media platforms to artificial intelligence, we are moving more and more, as individuals and as a society, into digital spaces with specific rules and power structures. Our second salon addresses major questions of freedom in our digital age.
Researchers from the social sciences and law join forces with representatives from local government and civil society for an evening that seeks more than just simple answers.
Admission is free. For more information click here.
