Climate Meets Cinema
On September 17, 2026, Friedrich Schiller University Jena invites you to the “L³ Future Dialogue: Climate, Change, Science” at CineStar Jena. As part of the nationwide Climate Adaptation Week (September 14–20), the “Light. Life. Liberty.” research initiatives will bring together scientific and societal perspectives on climate change and climate adaptation. This public event is open to anyone interested and combines current research from Jena and the surrounding region with film screenings and discussions.
Climate change is already altering natural ecosystems and presenting cities, municipalities, and society with the challenge of adapting to changing conditions. The Future Dialogue therefore brings together diverse scientific and societal perspectives. The program includes a poster exhibition on current research projects from Jena and the region, a screening of the documentary “Das Gewicht der Welt” and a panel discussion with experts.
A limited number of 150 free tickets are available for the film screening, so advance registration is required.
